There maybe many times when you have to arrange a party for guests at your house in the evening on a very short notice. You are in a situation where you don't know what to do and how to tackle a situation. You would like to make some delicious recipe for your guests but you don't have much time in your hands. However people may customize these recipes to suit their local needs. For example though original Chinese recipes are not spicy at all, people in India make it spicy as they like spicy food. Similarly Italian dishes and Mexican recipes are also made spicy or bland to suit the taste.

Ingredients:
1 medium Butternut Squash
4 large Tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup of Green Onions, minced
2 tbsp of Olive Oil
2 cups Water
1/4 inch of fresh Ginger
Salt to taste
Preparation: Peel, deseed, and dice the butternut squash. Add theoil to a saucepan and heat, add the onions and very lightly saute. Then add the diced butternut squash and the water.
Simmer the whole thing on reduced heat for about 12-15 minutes until the squash is soft. Add 2 of the tomatoes and puree with along with the squash. Then add the remaining tomatoes and mix in well but do not puree.
Place on the fire again, and this time add the salt and ginger. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
Preparation Time: 25-30 minutes
Serves: makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
* 8 ounces grated smoked mozzarella
* 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
* or
* 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
* or
* 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
* 2 garlic cloves
* 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
* 1/4 cup mascarpone
* Salt and freshly ground black pepper
* 1 large Boboli pizza shell
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Grate the smoked mozzarella; if using fresh herbs, chop enough thyme and oregano to measure 1 teaspoon each.
Chop the 2 garlic cloves. In a small bowl, blend the 1/2 cup ricotta and 1/4 cup mascarpone together well and season with salt and plenty of ground black pepper. Place the pizza shell on a large baking pan and brush it with the 1 tablespoon olive oil; with a spatula, spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the shell. Sprinkle the grated smoked mozzarella over the top, then scatter the 1 teaspoon each of fresh herbs and the 2 chopped garlic cloves over the mozzarella. Bake the pizza for 15 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest a minute of two before cutting into wedges.
1 lg sesame seed bun,(4 3/4-inch -- diameter)
5 oz beef,Ground
seasoned salt
black pepper,Ground
2 t ketchup
1 T mayonnaise
1 T onion,Chopped
3 pickle slices,(hamburger-style)
1/2 c lettuce,Chopped
1 lg tomato slice
non-stick cooking spray
1. Form the ground beef into a very large patty on wax paper. Make it approximately 5 1/2 to 6 inches in diameter (the meat should shrink to the perfect size for the buns when cooked). Freeze this patty for a couple hours before cooking.
2. Grill the faces of the hambur ger bun in a hot skillet over medium heat. Grill until the buns are golden brown. Leave pan hot.
3. Grill the frozen patty in the pan for 2-3 minutes per side. Sprinkle one side with seasoned salt and ground black pepper.
4. Prepare the rest of the burger by first spreading the 2 teaspoons of ketchup on the face of the top bun. Follow the ketchup with the tablespoon of mayonnaise.
5. Stack the onion onto the top bun next, followed by the pickles and lettuce. Add the tomato slice to the top of the stack.
6. When the beef patty is done cooking, use a spatula to arrange it on the bottom bun. Turn the top of the burger over onto the bottom and serve.
